About MCP Change Review
An independent BenchSprout tool for reviewing changes in MCP configuration and captured tool definitions before making a scoped approval decision.
MCP Change Review serves junior analysts assigned an AI tool change, and developers or reviewers who need a concise record of two snapshots. It runs explicit comparison rules locally and produces a redacted handoff. It does not use an AI model to judge your environment.
Independent and narrow by design
This is a BenchSprout publication. It is not affiliated with the Model Context Protocol project, OWASP, Snyk or Cisco. Source references explain the design and its limits; they do not imply endorsement.
The tool does not install packages, execute commands, connect to MCP servers, validate OAuth, test exploits, certify compliance or establish that a server is safe. It helps put specific evidence in front of a reviewer.
Funding and editorial boundaries
The workbench is free to use. No advertising script is installed. Any future sponsor placement must be clearly labeled, remain outside the comparison controls and leave the rules and outputs independent. The publisher's disclosures govern sponsorship.
Inspect the method
The source and rule catalog lists the baseline, triggers and known limitations. The review manual uses reproducible synthetic examples rather than customer claims or invented benchmark results.
