Turn an MCP diff into an approval handoff

Use the redacted report as one evidence item. Record the owner, scope, private inspection and unresolved questions before a connection or release decision.

The comparison answers what changed in supplied JSON. Approval answers whether a particular change is acceptable for a specific environment. That second answer needs a responsible owner and evidence beyond this workbench.

Use a decision that matches the evidence

“Approve the specified package version for the test environment under a restricted account” is a scoped decision. “The MCP server is secure” is a much broader claim the diff cannot establish. If the deployment, credentials or advertised tool list changes again, the prior decision may no longer apply.

For remote servers, record the expected operator and why the credential scope fits the task. For local servers, record the executable or package provenance and actual execution boundary. A directory argument is not necessarily a sandbox. A container is not automatically a sufficiently restricted sandbox either.

Share the report deliberately

JSON and Markdown exports contain the same redacted evidence. They still include names, field paths, command basenames and endpoint origins. Those can disclose internal architecture. Check the attachment itself, choose the audience, and apply your organization's retention rules.

This site does not send the report, store a decision or synchronize a ticket. Downloaded reports are files under your control. The privacy page explains the remaining browser and hosting boundaries.
